Hi, I'm Angie! Thanks for taking a moment to read my blog and view my work. I have been doing photography professionally for over five years and have loved every minute of it! (well . . . almost) :)
I specialize in lifestyle portraiture of kids and their families as well as weddings. My goal with every session is to capture the simple moments or expressions that bring out your child's personality. Some of the things that define my style are little girls in a frilly tutu on a rustic tractor or in front of a barn with peeling paint; vintage furniture in a field of weeds and hats and boots in all styles! I've been known to ask families to get IN a river for that "perfect" family picture (never mind that the two-year-old is swimming around mom and dad's legs!), and after I go prop shopping the comment I most often hear from my husband is "That is the ugliest chair I have ever seen!" But I know where there's potential!
Take a look around my blog -- this is where you can find out all of the exciting things going on at Portraits by Angie Lane -- new products, specials, events, limited edition sessions, and of course -- sneak peaks for sessions!
And when you're ready to book a custom portrait session, give me a call at (209) 607-2768. I look forward to working with you!
I could have taken pictures of this little guy all day! He is so dang cute!! You may have seen him featured on my blog in the past — we did this session last year. And as a side note — I have to say all of the families who did beach portraits did a fantastic job of picking outfits — way to go!
I am SOOO far behind in posting sneak peaks! I really appreciate how patient everyone has been as I try to catch up from our crazy summer. So here is the first beach session I did a couple of weeks ago — I have so many pictures to post!! These kids are just too dang cute — I think they should all be on the cover of a GAP ad.
This session was awesome! We started out at grandma and grandpas (amazing) house in Pebble Beach and then headed down to the beach. It was a bit windy and cold, so the kids weren’t feeling too adventurous. That is until a seagull tried to fly off with one of grandma’s star fish — then they were ready for a fight!
I’ve already had so many people call about beach portraits for this summer and I’m almost ready to announce all the dates. For the last couple of years I’ve held the beach sessions at Capitola Beach, which is great! But I had a lot of clients comment that I should try Aptos. I’ve never been to Aptos, so I thought I would send out a poll to see which beach people liked better! Keep in mind, it takes more than just surf and sand to make a great portrait beach! I like things like tide pools, lifeguard stations, piers (which are especially great if it’s super sunny), and other “beachy” kind of stuff. So let me know what you think!
I will be holding beach sessions for two days in June, two days in July and two days in October — more details coming SOON!

I had one final beach session last weekend in Capitola. The weather was absolutely beautiful! If only the beach were closer (sigh). These two little boys were so fun! I think little W is going to be a track star when he gets older! He had so much fun running all over the beach! Hope you guys had a great trip!
Whew! Are you tired of seeing beach portraits yet? This is my last beach session to post for now. I have lots of other sessions to post as well (I’ve done 10 sessions in the last two weeks!) Anyway, here is the awesome P family! (Oh, and Amy, you’ll never believe this! Clark found my skimboard that evening during my last session! It had either washed up on the beach or someone swiped it while we were taking pictures!).
Well, I’ve only got one more session to edit from the Beach Portraits last week! This was a great session (and I was so thrilled that the lighting finally decided to cooperate!)
