Welcome to my new Blog!

Hi, I'm Angie! Thanks for taking a moment to read my blog and view my work. I have been doing photography professionally for over five years and have loved every minute of it! (well . . . almost) :)

I specialize in lifestyle portraiture of kids and their families as well as weddings. My goal with every session is to capture the simple moments or expressions that bring out your child's personality. Some of the things that define my style are little girls in a frilly tutu on a rustic tractor or in front of a barn with peeling paint; vintage furniture in a field of weeds and hats and boots in all styles! I've been known to ask families to get IN a river for that "perfect" family picture (never mind that the two-year-old is swimming around mom and dad's legs!), and after I go prop shopping the comment I most often hear from my husband is "That is the ugliest chair I have ever seen!" But I know where there's potential!

Take a look around my blog -- this is where you can find out all of the exciting things going on at Portraits by Angie Lane -- new products, specials, events, limited edition sessions, and of course -- sneak peaks for sessions!

And when you're ready to book a custom portrait session, give me a call at (209) 607-2768. I look forward to working with you!

Little Mr. T

I can’t believe this little guy is already one! The last year has just flown by. This was the third photoshoot I’ve had with this little guy and he’s definitely at the stage where he’s on the move! I started photographing his big sis when she was a newborn, so it’s been so fun to...

Beautiful Sam

This session was so fun! This senior is graduating in just a few weeks and was so relaxed and photogenic — she made my job easy! Best of luck with everything in the future!!

Going Out of Town AGAIN!

Well I am definitely looking forward to coming home from this trip and staying home for a while! It seems like I've been on so many trips lately (even though they're short). Anyway, I will be out of town starting tomorrow (Thursday, April 23) through Saturday, May 2. I will have my cell phone with...

Inspired and Rejuvenated!

I am constantly striving to be the best photographer I can be and part of what helps me do this is my commitment to continuing education in my field. Last weekend I had the fabulous opportunity to attend a workshop with a handful of other photographers (some came from as far as Puerto Rico!) with...

4 Years Old!

I can’t believe little Miss J is already 4! I’ve been photographing her since she was born and she has changed SO much! I can’t get over how long her hair is! We had lots of fun in Old Sac yesterday!

Little Lady

This little sweetie is the third child (and first girl!) that I’ve photographed for the G family. She’s got two very proud (and loving) big brothers!

Little Man

This little guy is so cute! I thought it was kind of funny that both of the newborns I shot this week really loved their hospital binkys!

We did this shot with his big sister two years ago! It’s still one of my favorites.

Great Experience with the Governator

I had the fabulous opportunity yesterday to photograph our Governor, Arnold Schwartzenegger for a fundraiser for California's upcoming special election. Unfortunately per my contract I can't post any of the pictures, but it was a great experience and he is truly a very approachable and nice guy.

9 Month Beauty

It had been about six months since I’d seen this little cutie and I couldn’t believe how much she has changed! She’s starting to show some resemblance to her big sis! (At least I think so).

Windy

It was so windy the day we took these pictures, I thought we would blow away! Sometimes wind can cause a real problem for photography, but sometimes it adds some drama to the pictures and makes them more interesting.  Just look at how cute she looks with her hair blowing!

These two were so cute! They...
