This little sweetie is so much chubbier than when I saw her last (which was just 3 months ago!). She’s starting to look a lot like her big sister!

This little one is so precious! Even at three months you can tell she is going to be a beauty!
I will be out of town at the WPPI (Wedding and Portrait Photographer's International) convention from Sunday, February 15 until Friday, February 20. I will be in and out of classes all day (and night) but I will try to return phone calls when I can.
Last year I learned so much at WPPI and I'm excited to see what this year will hold!

I’ve had these pictures for quite a while and I just realized I never posted them! Here are some more images of the ever-popular hand painted frames I carry.
The first image is a 16×20 image with a 4″ metallic aqua frame with chocolate fontleroy scroll pattern and chocolate waverly moulding. This frame looked AWESOME in person!
The next frame is a 10×20 4″ white driftwood frame with aqua metallic tide moulding.
This frame is an 8×8 6″ frame Pink Polkadots with Imperial Rose tide moulding and a pink ribbon to hang.
And last but not least, a 10×10 6″ black frame with neutral white fontleroy scroll pattern and neutral white Dune moulding with aged stain. I LOVE this frame. In fact, everyone who sees this frame loves it. I think I’m going to order one for myself!
This little guy was so good — and so wide awake (until the minute we finished shooting)
What a sweetie!
We almost canceled this session yesterday due to rain — I’m so glad we didn’t! I have WAY too many favorites from this session, and little A was such a trouper! It was a bit on the chilly side, but she was great!
I always love to see how clients decorate their homes with images from Portraits by Angie Lane. And I know others love to get ideas as well. So I am going to hold my first blog contest — send me pictures of your images hung in your home. I will post the images and let people vote on their favorite display. The winner will receive a free portrait session with me to use by April 10. I will post the images in three weeks (February 24 and the voting will go until March 3). So send those pictures to me at angie@portraitsbyangielane.com — and if you're like me, and have pictures that need to be hung, well, maybe this will be some good motivation to get them on the walls!
One of the aspects of being a photographer and trying to stay creative all of the time leads me to sometimes be . . . bored.
I like to try new things and new places, but I need willing guinea pigs, I mean subjects.
So I am putting out a "Casting Call" for people who would like to let me experiment with them. I have specific ideas that I want to capture with these sessions, so there will be no session fee. You are under no obligation to purchase prints, but if you would like to do so, prints can be purchased at regular prices. The casting call is for families I have not photographed before — so if any of you have friends who have been thinking about using me, but haven't gotten around to it, let them know about this opportunity to try me out "risk free!" (And I will be posting some opportunities for current clients to win some free sessions as well, so stay tuned!)
Casting Call sessions must be held between now and the end of March, and they must be able to do the sessions on Tuesdays or Thursdays between 10:00 and 2:00.
By the way, current clients will still receive referral credit if they refer someone to these sessions, and we book it.
Here is a list of the type of session/families I'm looking for:
1. Brothers between the ages of 2-8 on location with rustic background
2. Kids, (girls or boys, one child, or siblings) between the ages of 7 months to 8 years on location with rustic/urban background.
3. High School Senior Boy
4. High School Senior Girl
5. Family with young child/children (child able to at least sit up)
And this is why I put out casting calls — because my children feel like this why I try everything out one them!
They did eventually warm up.
