I just wanted to put a little reminder out there that there are only three days left to vote for your favorite Little Angels pictures!

So a couple of months ago I thought it might be a good idea to give Kayla a haircut before she started kindergarten. Her hair was almost down to her waist and was pretty much messy all of the time — she wouldn’t let me do anything cute with it (or barely even brush it!) So we took her to Zoopaloop for her first “real” haircut. She did fine — I was the one who had to try not to hyperventilate as they took the scissors to her 11-inch ponytail. But I love it! (and a funny little story — we decided to give her hair to Locks of Love. So I was explaining to her a few weeks before we cut her hair that we were going to send her hair to a place where they would make it into a wig for a little girl who is sick and doesn’t have any hair. She seemed fine with that until a week or so later, we were practicing her letters and talking about kindergarten and she said, “Mommy, I don’t want to go to kindergarten and cut my hair and wear a wig!” ) :)
Recently I’ve had several sessions on farms, dairies, ranches etc. and I love it! There are always little nooks and crannies with old “stuff” — the sides of barns, old rusty tires . . . it gives the picture a lot of texture. So here’s a sneak peak of my latest “farm” session. And I can’t wait to go back in a few weeks to do her cousin’s pictures!
I was made aware of a little glitch in the voting for Little Angels. If you've logged on and tried to vote, you may have noticed that when you try to "purchase" a vote, it automatically adds in $7 for shipping. This has been fixed, so you will NOT be charged shipping (since you're not actually receiving anything) :). Just wanted to let you all know it's been taken care of.
This was such a beautiful wedding: great location, great details, great weather (eventually), and are they a great looking couple or what?! There’s no way for me to post just a few of such a beautiful wedding, so I’m just going to post a bunch! Thanks for letting me be part of your special day, and I hope you’re having a GREAT time on your honeymoon!
So this isn’t really a sneak peak since this couple has already seen (and ordered) their pictures, but they were so fun that I just had to post a few on my blog! By the way Ms. N, I just LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that you chose the silhouette as a wall portrait! I can’t wait to shoot your wedding! Congrats again, guys!
I’ve been taking portraits of the M family for a couple of years now, and it’s so much fun to see these boys grow! And now they’ve got boy #3 to add to the family! I can just imagine how tired you guys must be! But mark my words, these three boys are going to be little heartbreakers!
Meet little Miss M! She was only 7 days old when we took this pictures! And she was the most happy at the end of the shoot when she found her toe.
She’s got a couple of proud big siblings!
I just love pictures of little boys out on the farm with rustic, old looking stuff! This was such a fun shoot! They let me get as creative as I wanted (and I’m sure they weren’t expecting me to say — hey, it would be fun if you guys got IN the river for a family picture!) But they were troopers!
