Hi, I'm Angie! Thanks for taking a moment to read my blog and view my work. I have been doing photography professionally for over five years and have loved every minute of it! (well . . . almost) :)
I specialize in lifestyle portraiture of kids and their families as well as weddings. My goal with every session is to capture the simple moments or expressions that bring out your child's personality. Some of the things that define my style are little girls in a frilly tutu on a rustic tractor or in front of a barn with peeling paint; vintage furniture in a field of weeds and hats and boots in all styles! I've been known to ask families to get IN a river for that "perfect" family picture (never mind that the two-year-old is swimming around mom and dad's legs!), and after I go prop shopping the comment I most often hear from my husband is "That is the ugliest chair I have ever seen!" But I know where there's potential!
Take a look around my blog -- this is where you can find out all of the exciting things going on at Portraits by Angie Lane -- new products, specials, events, limited edition sessions, and of course -- sneak peaks for sessions!
And when you're ready to book a custom portrait session, give me a call at (209) 607-2768. I look forward to working with you!
These little twins were so sweet! They just loved cuddling up together. It was so fun for me to photograph them — I photographed their mommy and daddy’s wedding a couple of years ago! I love watching my client’s families grow throughout the years — it’s one of my favorite aspects of this profession!
I’ve had a lot of requests for ideas on what to wear to the Mustard Field Limited Edition sessions so I decided it was time to revive my Fashion Friday posts! There are so many options on what to wear to a session like this — you can be dressy or casual and there are so many color combinations that would look great! The only color I would stay away from is green. Here are a couple of other tips:
* Wear layers — who knows how warm or cool it will be? Plus layers look great!
* Consider covering your legs and feet — if you’re going to put your children in skirts or dresses, perhaps they can wear leggings and boots/rainboots so they don’t get poked with stickers in the grass.
I only have a couple of sessions left, so if you’re interested in booking one, give me a call or send me an email as soon as possible!
I just love this time of year! I absolutely love all of the mustard that grows around here and it inspired me to do a limited edition session in the fields!
Well I am a little late getting this up. It always amazes me how hard it is to get work done when my kids are around and with half-days at school last week and kids home sick this week, they’ve been around a LOT! Hence, very little work has gotten done. Sorry for the delay Ms. A! Anyway, this little sweetie was so fun! She was all smiles from the moment she got here. She’s such a cutie!

This little man was so patient with me moving him all around! He would just get settled and asleep, I’d take a few shots and then move him, he’d wake up and we’d start all over. He probably thought I was trying to torture him! But he was so good! I love newborns.
I love photographing little L! Doesn’t she have the cutest cheeks! She was just taking everything in during this session and was making everyone bend over backwards to get a smile out of her! (But when you’re this cute, you don’t need to smile to look adorable!)
I have a bunch of new ideas that I want to try with newborn babies. So if you or someone you know is having a baby (especially twins or triplets!) in the next three months, give me a call and we can do a “Casting Call” session.
* Babies born between now and May 31 are eligible (Spots may fill up before May 31).
* Babies must be under two weeks old at the time of the session
* Must be able to come to my home-studio on a Tuesday or Thursday between 9:30 and 1:00
* All participants must sign a model release so the pictures can be used in marketing and on my website
Spots for Casting Call sessions are limited so call today so we can get you on the calendar. (I ALWAYS suggest scheduling a newborn session before the baby is born to ensure that we can get portraits taken before they’re two weeks old. And of course, we can reschedule if the baby comes early or late).
And just for fun, here are a few of my favorite newborn images:
I have been completely MIA from this blog for too long! I’ve even had a couple of clients call to make sure I was still around! I am definitely still around, but we’ve MOVED! That’s right, we moved the Saturday before Christmas (crazy, I know!) and I’ve been working like mad to set up my new studio at our new house! I’ll have more information on that later.
To celebrate, I’ll be having a Personal Gift Card sale starting tomorrow and ending Saturday at midnight!
February 9, 2010 - 7:38 pmSheri Pritchett - These babies are absolutely adorable but I have to admit that little Lyle takes the cake, or should I say snapshot!!
Welcome to the first blog contest of the year! I had so much fun looking back at all of the photoshoots I did in 2009. I really have the best job! (And the best clients!!) I’ve chosen 17 of my favorites from last year, but now it’s your turn to vote for your favorite image! The portrait with the most votes will win a free portrait session (to be used by April 30) and a free set of wallets from the session. So be sure to send the link to your friends and family so they can vote too, and click on the “share” button at the bottom to share on your favorite social networking sites!
Voting will end at midnight on Friday, February 12.
In addition, anyone who makes a comment on my blog will be entered into a drawing for a free Little Angels session (more information coming soon). And if you make a comment on my facebook page you’ll be entered twice! Good luck!
